Our Impact
Over 25+ years, we’ve worked alongside artists to develop, produce, and expand live performance -- building pathways from first productions to extended runs, touring, and long-term creative growth.
About
Since 1998, Combined Artform has produced events, supported artists, and helped turn ambitious creative ideas into live performance, festival platforms, and lasting collaborations.
Our Story
From its beginnings in San Francisco to its long presence in Los Angeles theatre, Combined Artform has spent more than 25 years producing extraordinary events, developing artist opportunities, and helping shape independent performance culture. Along the way, the company has contributed to major festival ecosystems, launched original initiatives including the Hollywood Independent Theater Festival, 30 Minutes or Less Festival, and Los Angeles Theatremakers Office Hours, and continued expanding into consulting, content creation, and new storytelling tools.
Our Team
Matthew Quinn
Matthew Quinn has been a driving force in theatre production and venue management for over two decades in San Francisco and Los Angeles. As founder of Combined Artform, he has produced, co-produced, presented, booked, and promoted hundreds of shows alongside Producer Bertha Rodriguez since 1998. His work spans independent theatre, festival production, venue strategy, and new media projects.
Since the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2010, he has served as an advisor, venue manager, and producer, contributing to dozens of productions and launching initiatives including the Hollywood Encore Producers’ Award. His more recent work includes the 30 Minutes or Less Festival, HITFEST, Aristotle / Alexander, and scouting and booking work for SoHo Playhouse and the International Fringe Encore Series.
Bertha Rodriguez
Bertha Rodriguez has been involved in theatre production since 1998, first in San Francisco and then in Los Angeles. Alongside Matthew Quinn, she co-created Combined Artform and has worked across producing, writing, costuming, publicity, and operations.
In addition to her theatre work, Bertha brings extensive experience in research, intellectual property, script clearance, and public relations. Her producing credits include Revocable Trust, Campfire Stories, Letters from Young Gay Men, Yes, Virginia, and Tolstoy in Suffolk, which was named by Huffington Post as one of Los Angeles’ top ten theatre productions of 2017.
